Brief Profile

Department of environmental science is established in the year 2004 when environmental studies is introduced as a compulsory course at all undergraduate level i.e. at UGC and JNTUH to make the young minds environmentally conscious.

Environmental studies not only important knowledge but also develop understanding about our surroundings .we have to realise that we are a part and parcel of environment. If we care for it in turn it takes care of us.

Department of environmental science is nurtured by well qualified and experienced faculty ,to make the subject easy and interesting live examples ,day to day problems and case studies are quoted. More over digital classes and PPTs are utilised to make teaching learning process easy.

Sufficient reference books are also made available at college library to dig the knowledge.

Mission

  1. To acquire knowledge about our Environment.
  2. To develop the understanding of environmental components i.e of a biotic factors and their relationship with us.
  3. To develop the Morals, Ethical, and social responsibilities in youngsters which are lacking in the present world.
  4. To utilise the natural resources in a limited extend which are useful for sustainable development of nation.
  5. To understand role of an individual in conservation of natural resources and to reduce environmental pollution.
  6. To make aware of global problems, environmental laws and regulations.
  7. To enable an individual to live a happy and peaceful life.

Courses

Environmental studies is included for all B.Tech Branches either at II or III year.

B.Tech II yr I sem - ECE,Mechanical Engineering.

B.Tech II yr II sem - CSE , IT , Civil Engineering.

B.Tech III yr II sem - EEE.
