Department Of Library was established in 1997.The college library has at present a total collection of 45,826 volumes covering nearly 9974 titles and 2861 reference books. About 250 periodicals are subscribed for the library. There are 100 International Journals, 112 National Journals, 33 Magazines and are displayed according to each Branch. All the books are classified using D.D.C. (Dewey Decimal Classification) and C.C. (Colone Classification) as per Anglo-American cataloging rules.

Library Working Hours are on week days from 8.00 AM to 8.00PM. Only the member will be eligible to borrow books from the library . Each member can borrow 4 books at a time aganist borrowees cards.

Library Is Now Fully Automated with the data base of 45,826 books, and has started its automation activity in the year 2000 by fully automating all its house keeping operations. Network users can search the data base by, Author, Title, Classification numbers or subject terminals for the benifit of users in the library. Also four terminals are provided in the library to search for the availiablity of the books.

Library is using possible terminals at the circulation desk for issuing / return transactions. The flatbed scanner is operational for data conversion from print media to machine-readable form to Selection Dissemination of Information (SDI) and current awarness service to support to final year students and research. We are initiating the process of becoming a digital library by convering the materials in to the digital from.The library with its trained personnel and required hardware and software facilities has started to provide CD-Rom based services, Multimedia search services and INTERNET Faciltites etc..

The Charges of the Committee are the following

1. To assist in the establishment of Library in the New Library Building.

2. To play a central role in formulating and monitoring policies governing the acquisition of and/or access to information.

3. To frame general rules for the management of the Library.

4. To advise the Librarian regading general library development.

5. To institute studies of various aspects of Library, with the intention of improving its functioning.

6. To prepare the annual budget estimates of the library for submission to the Management for the purchase of books, journals and periodicals taking into consideration the current UG/PG Programs, New UG/PG Programs and faculty reserach areas.

7. To interpret the purposes and needs of library to the administration, faculty, and the student body.

8. To communicate to the library areas of concern and strengths as perceived by the college staff / student community.

9. To arrange for the physical stock verification of the library at the end of every semester.

10. To prepare and submit an Annual Report summarizing the activities and achievements of the Library.

11. To perform such other duties as may be assigned to it by the Principal.
