Ravinder, DSP of Karimnagar. They elaborated on Students’ objectives, Goals, and values of their lives along with education. They said that students ought to carry their driving license, RC, Insurance Policy and Pollution Check papers with them as they are the most responsible citizens of this society. They insisted that the students should not travel on footboard, on back seat of autos and not indulge in triple-riding.

The college Chairman J. Sagar Rao expressed his grief and concern as many students are the victims of road accidents. In this regard, college introduced the safety rule that every student riding the two-wheeler should wear helmet and possess valid driving license. He urged the students to follow the Road Safety rules strictly as student life is precious.

Principal Dr A. R. Naseer, in his address, reiterated the importance of Road Safety as the highway from Karimnagar town to Nustulapur area where several Engineering colleges are located is highly accident-prone. This stretch has witnessed maximum number of accidents and in many of these cases, students were the victims due to careless & rash driving without wearing helmets. Driving is a huge responsibility that must be learned in steps and practiced over and over. We have to drive safely, obey the traffic laws, and respect the rights of other drivers. Not only should we concentrate on our own driving, we should also be well aware of the other vehicles around us.  It is our responsibility, as a driver, to know the laws governing driving privileges. He stated that driving is a privilege, not a right and safe driving requires a good attitude. He concluded his address with appropriate Road safety slogans – “Slow down! Your family will be waiting for you”, “Reckless driving just may be your ticket to some place out of this world!”, “Drive like hell and you will be there”,  “Road sense is the offspring of courtesy and the parent of safety”, “Road safety is a state of mind, accident is an absence of mind”.
