1 | Report to the Exam Branch at least 30 minutes before the time of commencement of Examination (i.e., 9.30 a.m. for Forenoon Exam & 1.30 p.m. for Afternoon Exam). Invigilators who fail to report within the said time is duly deducted considered as ‘absent’ and half-day salary will be duly deducted. |
2 | Collect the seating plan, examination stationery and be present at the respective hall to which you are allotted at least 15 minutes prior to the commencement of examination. |
3 | The candidates should be present in the examination halls before the commencement of examination i.e. before 10.00 AM for Forenoon Session and before 2.00 PM for Afternoon Session. No candidate should be allowed after the commencement of the Examination. |
4 | The candidates allotted shall be permitted into the examination halls only after verifying their hall tickets. |
5 | The invigilators should ensure that students would not carry any material except Hall Ticket, ID Card & Non-programmable Calculator into the examination halls. Students without ID Card and Hall Ticket should not be allowed to enter the Examination Hall. |
6 | Invigilators shall ensure that time schedules of the examinations are to be strictly adhered to: |
7 | The student should be present in the Examination Hall before the commencement of Examination and no candidate is allowed to enter in the examination hall after the commencement of examination. |
8 | No candidate shall be permitted for toilets during the examination period. |
9 | Under emergency circumstances the candidate can be allowed to go out of the hall by handing over the Answer Booklet and question paper to the invigilator and shall not be permitted back to the hall. |
10 | The Candidate can be allowed to go out only after one and a half hour from the commencement of the examination by collecting the answer booklet and question paper. However, if the candidate wants to leave the hall in the last half an hour, can be allowed to take the question paper with him by submitting the answer booklet to the invigilator. |
11 | The invigilators should distribute the ‘OMR Answer Book’ 15 minutes before the scheduled examination time. Question papers should be distributed at the scheduled time. |
12 | Programmable Calculators, mobiles and Pagers are not allowed for the examinations. The invigilators are instructed to make thorough verification to avoid such things before the students enter the examination hall. College management is not responsible for the student’s belongings left outside the examination halls. Invigilators should not deposit those things. |
13 | The Invigilators should not leave their respective Examination Halls during examination time. Invigilators should not permit any person other than the Director, Chief Superintendent, Principal, DOE, CE and Observer to enter in the examination hall during the Exam. |
14 | The physical identity of the candidates shall be thoroughly checked by comparing their faces with that printed on hall tickets |
15 | The Part-I of OMR sheet of the Answer Booklet is printed with all the details, and the Invigilator should see that every student verifies the details. If there are any discrepancies, the same may be brought to the notice of the Chief Superintendent of Examinations who in turn will replace the damaged /spoiled/unrelated answer booklet by a Blank Answer Booklet. When a “Blank Answer Booklet” is issued to a student, the student has to enter all the details in blocks/spaces provided on the Part-I of OMR sheet, provided at the right top corner. |
16 | There will be a single common question paper for each subject. Ensure that you receive the correct question papers of the subjects of examination for the candidates allotted to your hall. |
17 | The Invigilator shall sign in the box specified in Part-I of the OMR Sheet, after verifying the Answer Booklet with the Hall Ticket Number and the subject of the examination of the student. |
18 | Candidates are prohibited from writing their Hall Ticket Number anywhere in the “Answer Booklet”. |
19 | Invigilators should make a general announcement in the hall before the commencement of the examination if any candidate possessing any written or printed material in any form will liable to be booked under malpractice case and punishment will be given as per the University Exam guidelines |
20 | The Invigilator should make an announcement that all the candidates have to strike off the unused blank pages before submitting the answer book to the Invigilator. Otherwise, it may be treated as invalid for valuation. |
21 | The invigilator should verify each answer booklet whether the number of pages written by the candidates on Part II and Part III are matching with the number of pages actually written and confirm whether the unused pages are struck or not. |
22 | Candidates have to put their signature in the nominal roll supplied. Fill up the entries at the bottom of the nominal roll and affix your signature. |
23 | Please ensure to collect the answer book from the candidates before they leave the examination hall. |
24 | If the candidate is absent put a cross mark across the Hall Ticket Number in the seating arrangement with RED INK. |
25 | At the end of examination collect the answer scripts from the candidates in the increasing order of Hall Ticket numbers and hand over to the Officer-in-charge of examinations. |
26 | The Invigilator should tear off the Part I portion of the cover page of the answer booklet at the end of the examination and shall submit the answer booklets and Part-I portions of the booklets separately. Utmost care is to be taken while tearing and handling Part-1 portions of answer booklets. |
27 | The Invigilator should not use Cell Phones / Laptops in and around the Examination Hall. |
28 | The Invigilator should not create any kind of disturbance to the students in and around the Examination Hall. |
29 | Drawing sheets should be folded to the size of main answer book and the stamp showing the Hall Ticket Number should be attested by Observer or Chief Superintendent. |
30 | Carrying Programmable Calculators, Cell Phones, Pagers and Wallets (purses) into the examination hall is totally prohibited. |
31 | If any candidate strikes off all answers in his / her main answer book, ask the candidate to write, “Struck off by me” on each page. |
32 | Invigilators are not permitted to take their cell phones / Laptops in and around the Examination Hall. They need to either keep the cell phones / Laptops in their office or hand over to Exams branch |
33 | Invigilators should not leave their respective Examination Halls during examination time. |
34 | All the Invigilators shall be relieved only after submitting the ‘Answer Books’ and Part-1 portions of their respective Exam Halls. |
Important Note :Please note the following regarding the answer booklet. |
1 | The answer booklet consists of 32 pages with barcoded OMR Sheet stitched to the Answer Booklet. No additional blank sheets will be provided to the student. |
2 | The OMR Sheet is divided into three parts (Part-I, Part-II & Part-III). |
3 | Part-I contains details of student and subject of the Exam. The student has to sign in the box specified in Part-I of the OMR sheet. The Invigilator should see that every student verifies the details. 6 | The student should not write anything else in Part-II & Part-III of the OMR Sheet. |
7 | Invigilators should provide proper instructions to students regarding the filling up of the OMR Sheet before the start of the exam. |
