Collector R V Karnan formally inaugurated the two-day integrated Karimnagar district shuttle badminton championship at Dr B.R. Ambedkar indoor stadium, Karimnagar on September 24, 2022.
The badminton championship was organised by the Jyothishmathi Institute of Technology and Science (JITS) as a part of its Silver Jubilee Celebrations.
Speaking on the occasion, the Collector lauded the JITS for providing quality education and also promoting sports for the complete and all-round development of students. He informed the students to participate in sports for developing competitive spirit and team leadership qualities.
JITS Chairman Sri. J. Sagar Rao has expressed that to unravel the hidden talents of the sportspersons, we are conducting various sports meet as a part of silver jubilee celebrations.
Further more than 200 participants have registered in this district level badminton championship. The winners were given 50,000 worth cash prizes and trophies.
Additional Collector GV Shyam Prasad Lal, DYSO K Rajaveeru, district badminton association secretary Upender Rao, JITS principal Dr. K. Srinivasa Rao and others were also present.
