Infosys realizes that engineering college students require active co-operation and help from the IT industry to achieve the goal of producing “industry ready” recruits who are well rounded and quick learners. The result is the Campus Connect.

Our college is connected with Infosys Campus Connect since 2005. During the last 13 years, more than 1500 students are trained and got certificates from Infosys CC. Infosys will extend support to our college with the necessary know-how, making available the industry-oriented topics, providing the courseware for industry-specific subjects, providing projects for students, providing sabbaticals for the professors and holding seminars in the colleges.

Inspire Mentorship Program

Inspire Mentorship Program is a platform where students can reach out to Faculty from the college and Infosys Mentors with their queries. The mentors, in turn, will go through continued discussions for one year to look at the common concerns of students and extend knowledge-based learning through Webinars or Campus/College Visits for a period of One year.

Infosys is a service-oriented company which focuses mainly on communication skills. This mentorship program fills the gaps, between Knowledge, and Communication skills to students.

The main objective of INFOSYS INSPIRE PROGRAMME is, Infosys educators and practitioners share the best practices in the space of facilitation skills by demonstrating the learning methodologies used in the organization.

10 students from our college are selected for INFOSYS INSPIRE Program and the Schedule given by INFOSYS specifies

  • Conducting Webinar through Webex.
  • Three Industrial visits for students at Infosys SEZ Campus, Ghatkesar, Hyderabad.
  • Attempting assignments:
    1. Student’s presentation video.
    2. Competitive based interviewing. (Technical, logical, reasoning, Communication,competency,analytical ability, and orientation towards IT.)
    3. Resume Building.
    4. Mock Interview.

The Industrial visit is to meet Mentor (Infoscian) assigned to them. They can meet IT industry professionals and engage in a knowledge sharing session while getting an orientation to the available career options within the industry by which the students can plan, organize and engage in active learning experiences both inside and outside the classroom.

The program is categorized in the hierarchical method by one Infoscian (Mentor) leading as Admin, with one mentor from our Jyothishmathi Group of Institutions in-charge to 10 students who will be led with individual groups. Every mentor (Infoscian) is trained with new technologies, Mentorship program helps students to aware the current technologies used by infoscians.

INFOSYS INSPIRE PROGRAMME OBJECTIVES

  • This Program helps student’s to gain first-hand experience regarding the functioning of the IT- Industry.
  • Identify their area of interest.
  • Provides an insight into the real working environment of the IT -Industry.
  • Students become familiar with industry practices and regulations.
  • Help to enhance their interpersonal skills and communications.

Inspire Program allow Students, to gain cognizance about software industry by the orientation towards IT Industry, the perception of various roles of job in Software Industry, and students acquire the lifestyle of the corporate culture.

The Main Agenda of the Mentorship is by obtaining decision thinking course, which helps students in learning and development by design ability, feasibility, and availability.
