Pomp and Gaiety mark Fresher’s party at Jyothishmathi Institute of Technology and Science:
Students of Jyotishmathi Institute of Technology and Science (Autonomous), karimnagar, celebrated the fresher’s party with much pomp and gaiety on Thursday (March 2, 2023). Newly enrolled students not only bonded with their seniors but were also informed about the need to be equipped with the knowledge and skills required to make it big in the job market. The seniors also congratulated the juniors for securing autonomous status.
After the initial introductions and greetings, seniors presented a few skits while the junior students also showcased their innate talent through some group and solo dances. The foot-tapping dance performance and live music made the audience tap their feet to the beats.
Speaking on the occasion, JITS Chairman Sri. Juvvadi Sagar Rao said that the JITS has been synonymous with quality education for the last 25 years in the integrated karimnagar district. “Qualified, dedicated and highly experienced faculty is determined in promoting excellence in the minds of students for their outstanding future”, he stated and congratulated the students for securing autonomous status from the academic year 2022-23 onwards.
Explaining the achievements of JITS since its inception, he said that the college was the first to secure NAAC ‘A’ grade, NBA and Autonomous status in the district. The college students secured six JNTU-H gold medals in various convocations and two foundation medals, besides a research centre, he said and added that the students of JITS were excelling in various fields in different parts of the country.
JITS Secretary Juvvadi Sumith Sai said that the JITS students were securing good placements and packages in several multinational companies. Stating that the students can do major and minor courses in the college, he said that the Board of Studies was headed by eminent academicians from various IITs, NITs, IIITs and industrialists and NRIs.
On this occasion, the college management distributed Rs 25,000/- each scholarship to meritorious students of EEE, ECE, and Mechanical and Civil groups. Principal Dr. K. Srinivasa Rao, Dean Dr. P K Vaishali, HoDs, faculty members and others were also present.
