DRDO scientist delivers a lecture on missiles at JITS
DRDO Hyderabad Senior Scientist Yokesh Kumar Verma has delivered a lecture on “Missile Seekers – Introduction and Recent Advances” for the benefit of students of Jyothishmathi Institute of Technology and Science (JITS) on November 5, 2022.
As part of the silver jubilee celebrations, the JITS had been organising lecture series by eminent personalities. Accordingly, the DRDO senior scientist enlightened the students on missile technology and how the country was exporting missiles to foreign countries.
On this occasion, Mr Verma said that the country was ahead of others in the production of missiles by using Active Electronically Scanning Arey (AESA) Technology. Explaining the strong strength of missiles viz Danish, Shourya, Prahar, Brahmos, MK-2, K15 and K5, he called upon the students to learn Matlab and RF system simulation tools which would help them to design.
He informed the students to develop real-time projects which would help them provide employment after the completion of their courses. JITS Chairman Sri. J. Sagar Rao and Principal Dr. K. Srinivasa Rao and other faculty members were also present
