The Three-day District Level Inter Polytechnic Sports and Games-2021 got off to a colourful start on the sprawling premises of the Jyothismathi institute of technology and science, Karimnagar on Monday.
The event was graced by Chief Guest, Sri. J. Vijaya Sarathi
Assistant Commissioner of Police (Rural), Karimnagar and the Guest of Honor, Sri. Keerthi Rajaveeru, District Youth and Sports Officer.
Karimnagar Rural ACP Vijaya Saradahi, DYSO K. Raja Veeru along with JITS chairman J. Sagar Rao, Principal K. Srinivas Rao and others participated in the inauguration of sports events by releasing the balloons into the air.
Speaking on the occasion, the speakers have stressed on the importance of physical fitness for overall personality of the student community.
A total of 967 students registered including 546 boys and 421 girls from 10 different polytechnic colleges of both the government and private of the integrated Karimnagar district.
