B.Tech third-year student of CSE stream has secured a gold medal in the Telangana state-level essay writing competitions organised by Sri Satya Sai Seva Organisation on the occasion of Satya Sai Baba’s 97th birth anniversary celebrations at Puttaparthy in Andhra Pradesh state recently.
The gold medal and a citation were presented to Sowmya by Union Minister for Tourism G. Kishan Reddy. The Telangana state unit of Satya Sai Seva organization organised the essay writing competition on the topic of “Role of human values in the 21st century” for college-level students and “Service to Mankind is Service to God” for the school-level students.
In Karimnagar district, a total of 10,500 students from 145 schools and 35 colleges participated in the essay writing competitions. On January 1, 2023, the seva organization felicitated the winners by presenting them with a certificate and memento. State coordinator Regella Anil Kumar, and Seva organization district leaders were present.
On this occasion, JITS Chairman Sri. J. Sagar Rao, Principal Dr. K. Srinivasa Rao and Head of CSE department Dr. Jagadeeshan and others congratulated Sowmya.
