JITS (Autonomous) conducts Orientation Programme for B.Tech first year students – 2023

The orientation programme of first B.Tech students (2023 admitted batch) was conducted on 21st August 2023 on the college premises.

Speaking on this occasion Mr. J. Sumith Sai, Secretary and Correspondent of Jyothishmathi Group of Institutions, informed the students to focus on academics along with Coding from the first year onwards. Stating that JITS (Autonomous) alone had opened Coding clubs for the benefit of students, he said that the coding and programming helps open doors to demystifying the digital world, getting connected, becoming creative and mastering in domain.

He said that the learning of coding and programming would help the students to score additional credits in academics. He said that the college was also offering various programme languages for Internet of Things (IoT) development as minor course in the third year and provide dual degree to the students and make them employable.

Reiterating that the JITS was committed for allround personality development of the students and help them make employable after the completion of course, he advised the parents to focus on their ward’s education for another four years, which are crucial in their life, to make them a employable and responsible citizens.

JITS Chairman Sri. Juvvadi Sagar Rao said that the JITS was known for discipline and guide the students to excel in their chosen career. Stating that the college was providing them guidance in coding and programme, he said that the motto of offering the special courses was to guide the students become employable along with the completion of education.

Explaining the rules and regulations of the college for the transformation of the students, JITS Principal Dr.K S Rao said that the students should ensure more than 75 per cent attendance and maintain discipline. Stating that the JITS was the first college in the district to secure NAAC A plus, NBA Accreditation and Autonomous status, he said that they were imparting life skills training to the students from the first year onwards.

Informing the students to write their goals after completion of the course as part of goal setting initiative, he assured that the college would strive hard and guide the students to fulfill their goal along with the completion of the course. Dean (Academics and Exams) Dr.P K Vaishali, Dean (Student Affairs) Sampath Rao and others were also present.

On this occasion, the JITS management has distributed seed balls to the students and their parents and educated them to plant in their choicest locations including their house to protect environment from pollution. The college has distributed fruit bearing, vegetables and flowering plants seed balls.
