JITS Hosts Orientation Programme for First-Year Diploma Students
The Jyothishmathi Institute of Technology and Science (Autonomous), Karimnagar, organized an inspiring Orientation Programme on 04/08/2025 for the newly admitted first-year diploma students, marking the beginning of their academic journey at the institute.
Welcoming the students and their parents, JITS Chairman Sri J. Sagar Rao garu emphasized the growing significance of technical and professional education in today’s competitive world. He highlighted how diploma programmes offer practical exposure and industry-relevant skills, helping students secure employment at an early stage. He encouraged students to remain committed to their academic goals, utilize institutional resources efficiently, and work towards building a strong foundation for a successful future. He also urged parents to play an active role in their ward’s education by maintaining regular communication with the institution and tracking their progress.
Addressing the gathering, JITS Secretary & Correspondent Sri J. Sumith Sai garu shared his vision for creating a learner-centric and technologically advanced academic ecosystem at JITS. He motivated the students to explore innovation, stay updated with current trends, and take full advantage of the support system and infrastructure provided by the institute. He assured the parents of the institution’s unwavering commitment to nurturing talent and producing skilled, responsible professionals ready to face real-world challenges.
The college Principal Dr. T. Anil Kumar, Dean (Academics) Dr. P.K. Vaishali, and Diploma Incharge addressed the gathering and shared valuable insights about the academic structure, faculty expertise, and institutional achievements. Heads of departments and faculty members introduced the institutional vision, infrastructure, and teaching methodologies, giving students and parents a comprehensive understanding of the learning environment at JITS.
A detailed briefing on the new C-24 curriculum was also provided, focusing on its outcome-based structure, skill development orientation, and alignment with emerging industry needs. Students were guided on internal assessments, lab practices, discipline, attendance norms, co-curricular and extracurricular activities, and opportunities for personal and professional growth within the campus.
The orientation aimed to ease the transition of students into the college environment and instill a sense of responsibility, discipline, and motivation as they embark on their academic path.
