JITS student secures three gold medals from JNTU Hyderabad at its 14th convocation in Hyderabad

Annam Harshitha, a 2021 batch student of Jyothishmathi Institute of Technology and Science (JITS – Autonomous), Karimnagar, has received three gold medals at the 14th convocation of the JNTU Hyderabad, on 07/02/2026 (Saturday).

She is the first student from any private engineering college to bag three gold medals in the JNTU convocation. She secured a gold medal for Best Outgoing Student (B. Tech CSE) among all the JNTUH-affiliated colleges in the Telangana state, a gold medal for securing the highest marks in Mathematics-1 (late Prof.C.Purushotham memorial endowment award) and a gold medal for first rank in B.Tech CSE among all JNTUH-affiliated colleges (Dr.Md Vizarath Rasool Khan Endowment Gold medal).

It may be recalled that JITS Chairman Sri. Juvvadi Sagar Rao had felicitated Harshitha for her outstanding performance by winning three medals and bringing a reputation to the college, which had so far won 9 gold medals from the JNTU in various convocations. He also presented Harshitha with a cash reward of Rs one lakh for securing the gold medals.

On this occasion, JITS chairman J.Sagar Rao, Secretary J.Sumith Sai, Principal Dr.T.Anil Kumar, Dean (Academics) Dr.P K Vaishali and others congratulated Harshitha on her achievement.
