JITS (A) Karimnagar Hosts Consecutive NCC Combined Annual Training Camps
The Combined Annual Training Camp-II (CATC-II) concluded successfully at Jyothishmathi Institute of Technology and Science (Autonomous), Karimnagar on 12th June 2026, after 10 days of intensive NCC training and activities.
The camp featured drill practice, firing, obstacle training, map reading, field craft, battle craft, sports, yoga, debates, quizzes, cultural programmes, and social service activities, helping cadets develop discipline, leadership, and teamwork.
JITS is now hosting the Combined Annual Training Camp-III (CATC-III) from 13th to 22nd June 2026. The camp is being conducted under the guidance of Col A. K. Jayanta, Commanding Officer, 9 Telangana Battalion, Karimnagar, and Lt Col V. Krishna, Administrative Officer, 9 Telangana Battalion, Karimnagar.
A total of 300 NCC cadets from the 9 Telangana Battalion, Karimnagar are participating, while 200 cadets from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana will take part in the Inter-Directorate Sports Shooting Competitions (IDSSC-II), Tal Sena Camp (TSC-II), and Inter-Directorate Shooting Competitions (IDSC-II).
The management of Jyothishmathi Group of Institutions, led by Chairman Sri J. Sagar Rao garu, Secretary & Correspondent Sri J. Sumith Sai, Principal Dr. T. Anil Kumar, and Dean (Academics & Audit) Dr. P. K. Vaishali, expressed their happiness in hosting this prestigious programme and reaffirmed their commitment to leadership development, discipline, and nation-building through NCC.
Faculty members and NCC Coordinators Lt G Jagdeeshwar and PIK Maheswar Reddy are actively guiding and supporting the cadets throughout the camp.
