𝗦𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮 𝗛𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗻 (𝗦𝗜𝗛) 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 – 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗻 𝗘𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗱 𝗮𝘁 𝗝𝗜𝗧𝗦 (𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘂𝘀)
Jyothishmathi Institute of Technology and Science (JITS), Karimnagar, successfully conducted the Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2026 – Internal Hackathon Evaluation, themed “From Spark to Solution,” on 8th and 9th September 2026 at the AC Seminar Hall. The event, conducted under the aegis of the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell and AICTE, provided an opportunity for students to present their innovative ideas and proposed solutions before an evaluation panel.
A total of 433 students participated in the event, presenting 84 innovative ideas for internal evaluation towards Smart India Hackathon 2026. The ideas were assessed by an internal panel of faculty experts based on parameters such as innovation, technical feasibility, practical applicability, scalability and potential societal and industrial impact, in line with the problem statements released for SIH 2026.
The session was initiated under the guidance of Principal Dr. T. Anil Kumar and Dr. P. K. Vaishali (Dean, Academics & Audit), with the support of Chairman Sri. Juvvadi Sagar Rao and Secretary & Correspondent Sri. Juvvadi Sumith Sai. The event was coordinated by Dr. G. Karthick, SPOC, SIH 2026, along with Dr. A. Manjula, Coordinator, SIH 2026 and supported by faculty members and student coordinators.
The management and faculty appreciated the active participation and innovative thinking demonstrated by the students throughout the evaluation. The event served as an important platform for encouraging innovation, problem-solving, and technology-driven solutions among students, in line with the goals of the Smart India Hackathon initiative.
The successful completion of the internal hackathon evaluation marks a significant step towards preparing the Institute’s student teams for the national-level Smart India Hackathon 2026, further strengthening JITS’s ongoing efforts to promote a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among its students.
