AICTE-ATAL Faculty Development Programme inaugurated at Jyothishmathi Institute of Technology & Science, Karimnagar
Jyothishmathi Institute of Technology and Science (Autonomous), Karimnagar is hosting a Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Autonomous and Connected Electric Vehicle Technologies” courtesy of AICTE Training and Learning (ATAL) Academy in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
The programme was inaugurated by Dr.N.V. Srikanth, Professor and Head of the Electrical Engineering Department at NIT Warangal, who delivered a session on “Basics of Electric Vehicles” on the first day.
JITS Chairman Sri.Juvvadi Sagar Rao announced the programme, which aims to provide comprehensive knowledge on electric mobility, autonomous driving, and vehicle connectivity. He encouraged faculty members, researchers, and industry professionals to utilise this FDP to gain knowledge on the latest advancements.
Secretary and Correspondent J. Sumith Sai stated that the programme would enable participants to integrate modern concepts into their teaching and research, addressing emerging trends, technical challenges, and research opportunities.
Principal Dr.T. Anil Kumar mentioned that the FDP would cover key topics such as V2X communication, electric powertrain systems, and applications of Al, IoT, and ML in smart transportation.
Dean (Academics) Dr.P.K. Vaishali emphasised that the programme would bridge the knowledge gap between academia and industry, providing participants with practical skills and insights into self-driving technologies. Programme Convenor Mr.T.Praveen Kumar stated that distinguished academicians from premier institutions like IITs and NITs, as well as industry experts, would serve as resource persons.
The workshop will be conducted from July 14, 2025, to July 19, 2025, said programme coordinators Dr.M. Manikandan and Dr.R. Ramesh. A large number of faculty from VNR VJIT, TKR, MRCET, CVR COE, VAAGDEVI, KITS-W, KITS-S, JBIT, NIGAMA, TRINITY and JITS participated in the programme.
