JITS NSS volunteers donate 119 units to Thalassemia patients
A blood donation camp was organized at JITS on the occasion of World Blood Donor Day, June 13, 2025 (Friday). The event witnessed an enthusiastic response, with 119 units of blood collected by the medical team from Prathima Institute of Medical Sciences, Nagunur, Karimnagar.
The donated blood was intended to support children suffering from sickle cell anemia and thalassemia.
The camp was inaugurated by Dr. Ch. Amit Kumar, Professor and Head of the Department of Pediatrics, and Director of the Thalassemia & Sickle Cell Center, PIMS, Mr. T. Vinay Kumar, Manager of the Blood Center, PIMS along with JITS Principal Dr.T.Anil Kumar, Dr. P. Pranitha, NSS Programme Officer, and Mr. G. Jagadeeshwar, NCC Coordinator.
