𝗝𝘆𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗶 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗗𝘂𝗯𝗮𝗶
Students of Jyothishmathi Institute of Technology and Science (JITS – Autonomous), Karimnagar, brought international recognition by participating in the Global Innovation Summit & Retreat 2026, organized by the International Startup Foundation (ISF) in Dubai, UAE. The summit was held from January 9–11, 2026, at InterContinental Dubai Festival City by IHG, featuring over 1,700 teams across India, with only a select few reaching the finals.
Representing JITS, Ajith Shanagonda, Mohammed Shoaib Affan, and Akshith Shanagonda advanced to the finals with their innovative project “Project DD.” The project is a Surplus Food Management and Food Credits Platform aimed at reducing food wastage and enabling efficient redistribution of excess food through a structured credit-based system, focusing on social impact, sustainability, and real-world scalability.
The summit provided exposure to global CEOs, CXOs, venture capitalists, and startup leaders. The team interacted with experts including Sergiu Ardelean (CEO, Artivive), Lenin Gali (CIO, Atomicwork), Padma Alluri (CEO, IFIN Global Group), Amy Peck (Founder & CEO, EndeavorXR), Nilay Goyal (CEO, Innovance.ai), Poondla Siddharth Reddy (Strategy Advisor), Sunitha Kshatriya (Co-Founder, ATI Global), and Dr. Siva Mahesh Tangutooru (ISF Co-Founder).
The team received Certificates of Excellence from Mr. J.A. Chaudhary, Founder of ISF, and Mr. Prasad Gundumogula, Founder, Chairman & Group CEO of Tabhi. Global leaders appreciated Project DD as a highly impactful initiative with future collaboration potential.
The management, faculty, and students of JITS expressed immense pride, stating that such global participation reflects the institute’s strong focus on innovation, entrepreneurship, and real-world problem solving, strengthening its growing presence in the global innovation ecosystem.
