NCC cadets sharpen their firing skills at the 10-day Combined Annual Training Camp-II (CATC-II) hosted by Jyothishmathi Institute of Technology and Science (Autonomous), Karimnagar from June 3–12, 2026. 🎯

Around 420 cadets from various districts of Telangana and 180 cadets from Telangana & Andhra Pradesh are participating in the camp and Inter Group Sports Shooting Competition (IGSSC). The camp includes drill, firing practice, obstacle training, sports, debate, quiz, yoga, cultural activities, map reading, field craft, battle craft, and social service programmes.

Cadets received hands-on weapon training and firing practice under the guidance of senior NCC officials including Col P. S. Singh (Group Commander, Nizamabad), Col A. K. Jayanta (Commanding Officer, 9 Telangana Battalion, Karimnagar), and Lt Col V. Krishna (Administrative Officer, 9 Telangana Battalion, Karimnagar).

JITS Chairman Sri J. Sagar Rao garu, Secretary & Correspondent Sri J. Sumith Sai, Principal Dr. T. Anil Kumar, and Dean (Academics & Audit) Dr. P. K. Vaishali expressed happiness in hosting the camp and reiterated their commitment towards discipline, leadership, and nation-building through NCC activities.

Faculty members and NCC coordinators Lt G. Jagdeeshwar and PI K. Maheswar Reddy are actively guiding the cadets throughout the programme.
