JITS Silver Jubilee Celebrations on a grand scale in Karimnagar
The Jyothishmathi Institute of Technology and Science (JITS) celebrated its Silver Jubilee on a grand scale on its campus by organised various programmes on 3rd December, 2022 evening.
The chief guest Prof. Katta Narasimha Reddy, Vice Chancellor JNTUH and Guest of Honor Prof. Uday B. Desai, former director IIT Hyderabad planted saplings and inaugurated the Research Centre recognised by JNTUH for pursuing Ph.D in Computer Science and Engineering.
The chief guest in his address to the students informed them to take up dual degree courses with minor courses which would make them employable after the completion of the course.
Expecting that the JITS would soon get autonomous status from UGC, he said that the JITS deserves an autonomous status for its dedicated services in the field of education in rural areas.
The Guest of Honor applauded the various academic initiatives the institution has been taking for development of students. He further emphasized the students and faculty to take up research in various domains and urge them to work on the most promising field of climate change and sustainability.
On this occasion, the dignitaries released souvenir of the college and presented prizes to the winners and runners of various sports and games events, technical and cultural events. The students captivated the audience with their scintillating performances on various popular numbers including devotional songs.
On this occasion JGI Chairman Sri. Juvvadi Sagar Rao, Executive Director Sri. Juvvadi Amith Rao, Secretary & Correspondent Sri. Juvvadi Sumith Sai, Principals Dr. K. Srinivasa Rao, Dr. K. Vaishali, Dr. Shanmuga Kumar, Retired Prof. Babu Rao, Prof. Bugga Rao, Prof. Nageshwar Rao, Special Invitee and first batch alumni, gold medalist from JNTUH Ekambareshwara Swamy and others were also present.
